An uncommon baccatum variety bearing elongated, 2" fruits with a crinkled surface. The ripe fruits look somewhat like a peanut shell. Hot flavor. Little known. This unusual species is grown primarily in South America, where it is referred to locally as "Aji". Characterized by diffuse yellow or green spots on the base of the corolla lobes (flower petals). Open pollinated 80-90 days
